At Park Your Truck, we believe that every individual and every company has the power to make a difference through their actions. That’s why we have made it our mission to become climate-neutral by 2030. From now on, this is our top corporate priority — and we are fully committed to achieving it in the months and years to come.
UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Sustainability is a core pillar of Park Your Truck’s corporate philosophy and an essential contribution to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our initiatives focus especially on Goals 7, 8, 9, 11, and 13 of the 2030 Agenda:

Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
We equip parking sites with EV charging stations powered by renewable energy and support the use of alternative fuels such as HVO100, hydrogen, and bio-LNG. In doing so, we play a key role in reducing emissions across the transport sector.

Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
We promote sustainable economic growth by developing innovative, economically efficient, and socially responsible solutions tailored to the logistics industry.

Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
Our investments in advanced technologies—such as high-capacity EV charging infrastructure for electric trucks and the development of multi-user truck parking hubs—support modern logistics infrastructure. Through our proprietary booking platform, we ensure efficient site utilization and optimized logistics flows.

Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
Our solutions help ease urban congestion by reducing unnecessary truck traffic and optimizing land use. This leads to safer, cleaner, and more livable cities.

Goal 13: Climate Action
By offering reservable truck parking and reducing search traffic, we actively lower CO₂ emissions and contribute to the global effort to combat climate change.
The Climate Pledge
Our Commitment to a Carbon-Neutral Future
The Climate Pledge is an initiative launched in 2019 by Amazon and Global Optimism, calling on companies worldwide to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. Park Your Truck is going even further by setting the ambitious target of becoming carbon-neutral by 2030.
The Climate Pledge unites a cross-sector community of companies and organizations committed to taking urgent action against climate change. It provides a framework for decarbonizing the global economy and was co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism.
Signatories of The Climate Pledge commit to three key principles:
- Regular reporting of greenhouse gas emissions
- Implementing decarbonization strategies in line with the Paris Agreement through real business changes and innovations – including efficiency improvements, renewable energy, and materials optimization to reduce carbon emissions
- Neutralizing remaining emissions through additional, quantifiable, real, permanent, and socially beneficial carbon offsets by 2040
Europe is plagued by months of drought, North America is ravaged by massive wildfires, and Asia is facing dramatic floods. The catastrophic weather events of the summer of 2022 have clearly shown – with devastating consequences – how global warming, already at +1.1 degrees, is affecting even our regions. And this is not the end.
A study published in the journal Science shows that it’s not only the weather that is changing, but the entire Earth system – with all its interconnected physical, chemical, biological, and social components. The current level of warming may already be enough to trigger a series of processes within this system. Once these processes are set in motion, they reinforce themselves, can spiral out of control, and become irreversible. These are known as “tipping points” in climate research.
There are signs that the Greenland Ice Sheet is melting, which could lead to a sea level rise of up to 7.2 meters. In West Antarctica, strong indicators show that glaciers have already started to collapse. In the Atlantic, there are warning signs that a key ocean current – responsible for rainfall and thus for successful harvests – may be on the verge of breakdown. Tropical coral reefs, essential to the nutrition of hundreds of millions of people, are dying. And there is growing evidence that permafrost soils in the north are thawing rapidly, releasing massive amounts of methane and CO₂.
According to the Science team, some of these tipping points may already have been reached. The study identifies nine global and six regional tipping points. The data shows that five of these are already dangerously close, while five more could be triggered if global temperatures rise by 1.5 degrees. The authors conclude that the Earth may have already left its safe climatic state – beyond 1 degree of global warming. And with further warming, additional collapses are likely, such as the disintegration of the glacier system in East Antarctica.
These descriptions make it clear that the self-reinforcing dynamics of the climate system could move beyond human control.
That is why it is our most urgent task to reduce CO₂ emissions – and the accelerating warming of our planet – as quickly as possible. Every tenth of a degree counts.

At Park Your Truck, we are deeply concerned about these alarming developments. And because we firmly believe that everyone can make a difference through their actions, we are committed to reducing our CO₂ emissions to zero. That’s why we joined The Climate Pledge.
More than 375 companies worldwide have already signed the pledge, committing to reach climate neutrality ten years ahead of the Paris Agreement target – by 2040. But Park Your Truck is going one step further: we are determined to become climate neutral by 2030.
From now on, this goal is our top corporate priority. In the months and years ahead, we will do everything in our power to achieve it – because every individual effort matters.
